22. Favourite Series 1 Moment

I thought this might be difficult to choose but there are a couple of moments which really stand out.  Firstly Merlins arrival in Camelot, coming over the hill and then when we see the first glimpse of the castle it is truly magical!  I also love Merlin first conversation with Kilgarrah and when he learns about his destiny.  IT IS EPIC.  I also love the fact that Merlin was like You must mean another Arthur this ones an idiot!!!  XD  So Merlins first meeting with Kilgarrah is definitely one of my favourites.  But I also love when Merlin rescues Arthur from the lake of Avalon, not only because he actually doesn’t use magic (except to kill the Sidhes who were going to claim Arthurs soul) but because Merlin jumped in the lake, desperately searching for Arthur and showing such amazing strength and courage.  It was a very powerful scene.  I also really love Merlins battle with Nimueh on the Isle of the Blessed as it is the first time he commands the sky in such a powerful way and it is amazing to see Merlin use his magic so powerfully.  Also the beautiful scene when Merlin sends a sphere of light to guide Arthur safely out of the caves where he was bravely searching for the morteous flower (spelling fail!) It was such a magical image and one that I hope Arthur remembers as being a symbol of hope and that magic can be used for good as I am certain he knew it was magic (and actually am convinced he knew it was Merlin)  So yeah I have cheated again because I can’t choose a favourite between these now!!
